The purpose of the Prevention Program is to prevent substance abuse among Pueblo youth and adolescents and provide leadership development.  The program utlizes Project Venture from the nationally known Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) program model.  Project Venture is an outdoor/experiential program that aims to develop a positive self-concept, a community service ethic, effective social and communication skills and strong decision-making problem-solving skills.
