Provides mental health counseling and therapy treatment services to individuals, couples, families, and groups with the FSIP tribal communities and local community. Provides Substance Abuse Education and other Mental Health Support groups as needed. Completes written Psycho-Social, Mental Health assessments for individual clients for client admission. Provides out-patient mental health counseling to communities of Zia, Santa Ana, Cochiti Pueblos, and other sites as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
LCSW/LMSW in Social Work or LPCC/LMHC in Counseling, with a minimum of two years experience in out-patient Mental Health/Alcohol/Drug Treatment Systems. Experience in a variety of psychotherapeutic treatment models involving individuals, families and groups in a Behavioral Health Setting. Prefer experience working with Native American population.

Teacher Assistants for Head Start programs assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. They encourage the involvement of the families of the children of the program and support the development of relationships between children and their families. Under the general supervision of the Health & Nutrition Coordinator and with guidance from the contracted Nutritionist, the Cook is responsible for guaranteeing that the children are served nutritious, good tasting and appealing meals. It is the Cook's responsibility to prepare these meals by methods that maintain high nutrient levels. It is also the Cook's duty to deliver meals to the children ready for family style meal service and suitable for the children's age and development. Head Start Teacher – Position Summary
Five Sandoval Indian Pueblos, Inc. Early Learning Head Start is dedicated to supporting young children and families through education, parenting resources, and community services.
The Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational services to preschool children, including children with special needs. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing classroom activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment, conducting home visits and parent conferences, completing child assessments and documentation, and working collaboratively with parents, specialists, and other staff.
The position requires strong knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, family engagement, and culturally responsive practices. Teachers must maintain accurate records, meet Head Start Performance Standards, support children with disabilities and developmental needs, and participate in family engagement activities.
Minimum qualifications generally include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a CDA or comparable credential, and relevant experience working with young children. Candidates must be able to work effectively with tribal and culturally diverse families and staff.
Additional requirements include CPR/First Aid certification, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, background clearance, TB screening, physical clearance, food handler certification, and the ability to travel and perform the physical duties associated with working in a preschool classroom.

Family Services Coordinator – Position Summary
The Family Services Coordinator supports full enrollment and leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of family engagement services for Head Start children and families. The position works closely with program staff and community partners to ensure families receive appropriate resources, support, and opportunities to establish and achieve family goals.
Key responsibilities include conducting family partnership agreements and needs assessments, supporting parents and families individually and in groups, coordinating family engagement activities, providing staff training and technical assistance, and serving as a resource to families and the community. The Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, including ChildPlus and service area documentation, and ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, ERSEA requirements, agency policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
The position requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, leadership, and cultural responsiveness skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with families, staff, community members, and Tribal communities. The Coordinator participates in various program, parent, community, management, and agency meetings and may provide presentations both on and off site.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related degree with equivalent coursework. Previous Head Start knowledge or experience is preferred. The employee must obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification and a negative TB screening, complete a physical examination, and be able to travel to Tribal communities.
